The official list of public holidays to be observed in Qatar for the year 2025 has been approved and published in the Official Gazette (Issue No. 10), as announced by the Ministry of Justice.

In accordance with the decision issued by the Cabinet and based on directives from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the approved holidays apply to ministries, government agencies, and public institutions.

The list includes national and religious occasions such as Eid Al-Fitr, the Islamic New Year, and Qatar National Day, which will be observed on December 18.

For Eid Al-Adha, the official holiday period will extend from the 9th day of Dhu al-Hijjah to the end of the 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, in line with Islamic tradition.

The decision also notes that while these holidays are generally applicable across both public and private sectors, specific exceptions may apply based on the nature of work at certain institutions.

Residents, professionals, and businesses are encouraged to consult the full publication for planning purposes and operational clarity.
