As Eid Al Adha 2026 approaches, Qatar is expected to experience extremely hot weather, strong winds, and rough seas, according to the latest forecast from the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).

The weather authority stated that temperatures during the Eid holidays could reach 43°C in several parts of the country, while coastal and offshore areas may experience stronger winds and higher wave heights. The forecast has prompted officials to advise residents to remain cautious, especially during daytime outdoor activities.
Eid Al Adha in Qatar 2026: Very Hot Days Expected
QMD forecasts indicate that daytime conditions throughout the Eid period will remain intensely hot, particularly in the afternoon, when temperatures are expected to peak. Minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 31°C, resulting in warm, humid nights in many areas.
The rising heat comes as Qatar gradually enters the summer season, with temperatures already increasing noticeably during the final weeks of May.
Families planning Eid picnics, public gatherings, or outdoor celebrations are encouraged to schedule activities in the early morning or evening to avoid direct sun exposure.
Strong Winds May Affect Outdoor and Marine Activities
Moreover, Qatar is expected to experience active northwesterly and southwesterly winds during the first two days of Eid Al Adha. Wind speeds may increase significantly during daytime hours, creating dusty conditions in open areas at times.
The weather department warned that offshore conditions could become unstable, with waves rising to 4-7 feet in some locations. Fishermen, boat operators, and residents planning sea trips during the holiday have been advised to stay up to date. They are also asked to follow official marine warnings before heading offshore.
Beach visitors may also notice rougher sea conditions compared to normal days due to stronger winds over open waters.
Residents Advised to Take Precautions During Eid Holidays
Authorities are urging people across Qatar to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak heat hours. Wearing light clothing, using sunscreen, and limiting strenuous activity in direct sunlight are a few precautions to follow. Health and weather professionals instructed locals and visitors to follow their guidance immediately.
Drivers are also asked to be careful on highways and open roads. Suddenly, strong winds could occasionally reduce visibility in exposed desert areas. With thousands of residents expected to travel, attend Eid prayers, visit attractions, and enjoy family gatherings throughout the long holiday. So, the officials are going to closely monitor the weather conditions thoroughly.
The Qatar Meteorology Department regularly shares updated forecasts and marine advisories through its official channels. It will help residents prepare for changing weather conditions during major public holidays and seasonal shifts.
